Surgery, success,and the Savior

Your prayers for yesterday’s surgery are SO appreciated. Surgery went well. Only 7.5 hours and recovery was really good. Am in ICU to monitor me and the breast mound that they made from that large flap from my tummy. I swear I’ll have the flattest tummy west of the Rockies!

Also, talked Jesus all thru prep. The OR team and I prayed the Lord’s Prayer and halfway thru the surgery, they called Prince Philip and said the Lord’s Prayer again while I was OUT!

Even better, they let me sing “joyful, Joyful, we adore thee” all the way down the hallway to OR. I could see the surprise on faces. Sort of a 1-gal Flash Mob.

The Kind Savior was there and is here right now. The process is painful but w Jesus “I can do things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Thanks again for your prayers. God is on His throne. Alleluia!

Although no longer a leader in congregational life, she continues to follow her calling and passion to minister to those who suffer, especially those with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
